Typhoon Hayan Operation Philippines The Netherlands Red Cross * Organizing Logistics Service in Emergency ; * Organizing delivery of Humanitarian Goods to the other Islands of the Philippines ; * Arranging Transport trucks and working with the drivers explaining the Defensive way of driving and Security Rules for Transportation of Humanitarian Aid. ; * Organize Local procurement of the Non-Food Items for replenishment of the borrowed goods from the Philippines Red Cross. Goods have been procured and delivered to PRC warehouse in full. The budget for the procurement was more than 250,000 EURO. ; * Logistics Assistant was trained in filing System, Warehouse Management Software `LOGIC' and Logistics Standards. ; * Two Federation vehicles were rented for a long term period (21 months) on VRP (Vehicle Rental Programme). It was approved by HQ in Hague. ; * Transport Contract was signed with the transport Company.

Flood Operation * Arranging Logistics Support Service for Flood Operation in different parts of Pakistan effected by floods. ; * Managing warehouse of more than 3,000 sq. m. and organizing Transport service. Time sheet was introduced for better control of the Transport means. ; * Supervising Logistics team of local staff in Besham, Mardan, Sukkur. (More than 30 local staff). ; * Assisting Federation Delegation in searching and evaluating warehouse facilities for Flood operation. Recommendations for choosing the warehouse were given and a report was issued. ; * Delivery of Relief for Flood effected population. Usually, 25-30 trucks were loaded and unloaded during a day and Relief delivered to the Distribution Points in time. ; * Local truck drivers were trained in Federation Security and Safety Driving Requirements. ; * Improving warehouse system and procedures. Filing system was improved. Local staff was trained in new procedures and day by day warehouse practicalities. ; * Recommendations for improving LOGIC Warehouse system have been worked out and sent to the Headquarters.
